The program is open to children who are full-time residents of Bourne and will be entering grades 4-6 this Fall. Registration in the Beginner's class is limited to two students per family.
Due to the generosity of many donors, BCB is able to offer this program for only $100 to qualified, 1st year students. BCB estimates the costs for this program to be $625/student. BCB would appreciate donations up to this amount if you are able to afford it.
In the event of a class being under-subscribed, BCB will open it to children of seasonal residents on April 1std. Non-resident tuition is $600.
Lifejackets will be provided at cost for this class.
Advanced Beginners – Monday-Friday, 8:30am to 12 noon

In the event of enrollment being less than capacity, BCB will open the program to children of seasonal residents that can demonstrate sufficient basic sailing skills, on April 1st. Non-resident tuition is $600.
Students should expect to spend 2 to 3 years in the Beginner and Advanced Beginner classes before graduating to the intermediate class.
Intermediate Opti - Monday-Friday, 1:00pm to 4:30 pm

First year intermediates will have sailing instruction 4 days a week with advanced Belly Biology one day per week. Returning intermediates my repeat the biology program or sail 5 days per week. Students should expect to spend from one to three years in this class before graduating to Adventures in Sailing. The class is open to full-time residents of Bourne and requires tuition of $500/student.
BCB has scholarship funds available for children for which this tuition would be a verifiable burden. Please see the scholarship application form for scholarship information.
In the event of enrollment being less than capacity, BCB will open the program to children of seasonal residents that can demonstrate sufficient single-handed basic sailing skills, on April 1st. Non-resident tuition is $600.
Adventures in Sailing - Monday-Wednesday, 1:00pm to 4:30pm

Junior Instructor Program To qualify for this program the student must have excellent pram and sloop sailing skills, a strong desire to continue to expand his/her sailing skills and experience, and must enjoy working with young children. Students will be expected to assist in teaching 3-4 class sessions per week, attend a weekly class in which they will learn how to teach sailing effectively; and sail independently during open sailing or join in with the Adventurers 1-3 times per week. (Total time commitment = 5 sessions per week minimum.) There is no tuition for this program, but the participant must be a member of BCB.
Parents will be encouraged to volunteer and to assist with parts of the program.
It is important for students and parents/guardians to understand that a student carries an obligation to attend all classes (unless illness or other excusable event occurs), as there will be others who would like to attend, but who have not been chosen.
